Chelsworth is often called the prettiest village in Suffolk.
This beautiful place has an ancient history - it was first recorded in AD962 - and is famous today for its gardens and ancient houses, many of which were built in the 17th century and before. And of course Chelsworth is an active community today as we hope our website will show.
Our site is for both visitors and residents. It will encourage you to explore Chelsworth's story through its historical archives including families and the properties they lived in, and will bring you right up-to-date with life here today, with information about the village, local walks, events, facilities and of course, our famous Open Gardens Day.
