Open Gardens Day

Open Gardens Day 50th Anniversary 2017

Although slow-growing the cedar of Lebanon can be remarkably long-lived, perhaps producing cones by our 75th!The dedication and blessing took place on the 19th November 2017 taken by Reverend Martin Seeley Bishop of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich.

"The cedar tree is slow growing but lives for many years. It is planted to commemorate 50 years of Open Gardens here in Chelsworth and is dedicated to Alison Russell BEM to thank her for her tireless and generous service to both church and community here for 50 years also."
